Autopsy: George Floyd is said to have died not only from kneeling police officers

George Floyd’s family’s autopsy strains other police officers. It is not only the kneeling officer who is to blame, but also two others.

George Floyd’s family lawyer said Monday that his death was murder caused by suffocation and loss of blood flow to the brain. This resulted in an independent autopsy commissioned by Floyd’s family.

This questions the analysis of the authorities. In a first statement, it was said that Floyd had not died of “traumatic asphyxia or strangulation” – that is, asphyxiation. Forensic medicine suspected that possible Floyd’s previous illnesses “may have contributed to his death.”

Other police officers accused

“Not only was the knee on George’s neck a cause of death, but so was the weight of the other two police officers on his back, which not only cut off the flow of blood to his brain but also the flow of air to his brain,” said Antonio Romanucci, the lawyer for the Family.

Her own autopsy also showed that Floyd had no “underlying medical problem” that caused or contributed to the death.

Benjamin Crump, another family lawyer, is not only burdening the policeman, who kneeled on Floyd’s neck for minutes, but also two other policemen.

The four police officers involved in the operation were released. The man who flopped his knee on the neck is charged with murder and is in custody. Another brother of George Floyd, Philonise Floyd, said on Sunday CNN that the other three police officers who were involved and did not intervene had to be arrested. “I want justice – now.” (sda / dpa / pit)

In the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the freedom of citizens around the world has been restricted as massively as perhaps since the Second World War: the right to move freely in public has been restricted; the right to do business has been restricted; the right to be politically active, for example in the form of peaceful public rallies, has been restricted. In some cases, countries like Spain and Italy even have de facto strict …
