Enchanting the summer mood, the band “Astro’n’out” has released a video for a new single “In Airplane Mode”. This allows you to tune in to the potential feelings of the group’s open-air concert on August 21 at the Mežaparks Green Theater.
The band Astro’n’out’s new song “Airplane Mode” has been very catchy, and its video is also interesting. This time, the video does not show astronaut soloist Māra Upmane-Holstein and members of the group, but young people aged 11-12, who depict the images of “Astro’n’out” and the group’s daily life, reminding through the children’s joy that life must be lived with joy and excitement while enjoying summer and friendship. “Young people in this video, with their attitude and storyline, remind us of two questions: how long did we grow up and forget to have fun as children? And at the same time, aren’t today’s children growing up too fast? However, the most important thing is that the clip is about friendship, being together and team spirit, which is essential for the existence of the group “Astro’n’out”, “says Māra.
The main pearl of the video is Una, the daughter of “astronaut” guitarist Mārtiņš Elerts, who has taken on the role of Māra, enchanting with her naturalness and confidence. “I am proud of Una’s determination, without thinking for a long time and agreeing to go into this adventure. While present during the filming process, it was interesting to watch the young people step into our shoes, at the same time realizing that they would immediately start fulfilling their own dreams, ”says Una’s father Mārtiņš Elerts.
The musicians of “Astro’n’out” have also directed and produced the clip (in collaboration with the video author, “Colortime” director and cinematographer Jānis Dunkurs), so everything came together as in life, the clip is really like from the life of a group. Including kebab eating, which is an integral part of studio work. “They really are us!” confirmed by Mara. “When you are present with your creative ideas when creating a clip, then the result is better. I’m very proud [par šo klipu], it was a joint and cool job! ” The song “In Airplane Mode” was created in collaboration with the group’s longtime friend – producer DJ Rudd (Rūdolfs Budze) – and with the support of AKKA / LAA scholarships.
