As announced, Hamburg is implementing the nationwide resolutions: As of today, the corona rules have been further relaxed. FFP2 masks must be worn in closed rooms of public facilities, the previously applicable 2G-plus access model is no longer applicable.
The 3G access model now applies in restaurants and accommodation establishments, for body-related services and for sports in closed rooms. This means that those who have not been vaccinated have access again – if they can show a negative corona test. They have been largely excluded from social life since November 20, 2021.
Dancing without a mask, but with 2G-plus
From today it is possible to dance again without a mask in music clubs and discotheques. If you meet the 2G-plus rules at the entrance, you can spend the whole evening there without a mask. On the other hand, this model does not apply to pubs and bars without the opportunity to dance, the social authority said when asked by NDR 90.3. The mask must still be worn there – as long as you are not in your place.

You can drink outside again
Either way, there should be a lot going on again in Hamburg’s nightlife areas from tonight: After many months, the ban on alcohol sales and the so-called ban on carrying alcohol will be lifted. So you can stand outside anywhere in the city and drink a beer or wine.
