After drawing against Wolfsburg in the Champions League, Arsenal’s women’s squad experienced an aerial incident that, luckily, did not end in tragedy.

The women’s squad Arsenal of England had a big scare this weekend, after their 2-2 draw against Wolfsburg for the semifinals of the Champions League.

And it is that after equality in the first leg, played in Germany, the players of the London team experienced an emergency on the plane that was taking them back to Great Britain.

According 20 minuteswhen the aircraft that carried the ‘Gunners’ was ready to take off, a bird entered one of the turbines and caused a fire in one of the engines.

The plane managed to move a few meters on fire, until the pilots noticed the fire and proceeded to evacuate all the passengers and personnel on board.

“The speed in the application of the protocol allowed the incident to be resolved without victims or injuries”they indicated from the aforementioned medium.

After the incident, the Arsenal squad was transferred to a hotel near Wolfsburg airport and returned to England on Monday.

It is worth noting that the return match between the Londoners and Wolfsburg will be played this Monday, May 1. Whoever wins will face FC Barcelona or Chelsea in the final (the Catalans won 1-0 in the first leg).
