Sexual assault on young people: Arrest

Coasts (dpa/lni) – After an alleged sexual assault on a young person in the Feldmark near Coasts (Lüchow-Dannenberg district), a man was arrested. The suspect 34-year-old fled on a bicycle after the young woman’s mother approached the crime scene in the afternoon, the police said on Wednesday. He is already known to the police for a variety of property damage, insults and drug and theft offenses.

The police searched for the man with a helicopter and dogs, among other things. The man from Lüchow-Dannenberg was finally arrested on the basis of the description of the perpetrator and tips from the population, among other things. He was reportedly questioned in the evening. Further investigations continued.
