APS Prévoyance: more than 35 years of social and solidarity experience

Dince, guided by its vocation, this family business has been working alongside other integration players to enable everyone to access healthcare. This approach distinguishes this insurance broker from others. Moreover, in 2018, the ESUS State approval was awarded to it, thus making APS Prévoyance the 1st and only insurance intermediary to be recognized as a Social Utility.

“Grouped, our members are better taken into consideration by the world of Insurance” (Mathilde Dufourcq, Managing Director of APS Prévoyance)

By organizing a group of insurance buyers encountering the same difficulties in accessing healthcare, APS Pension brings the power of numbers to Insurers to obtain from them the best conditions of cover and rates for the benefit of its members.

In order to adapt its offer to the needs of the field, the company relies on a network of partners from the social sector that it has brought together over the years.

The company currently manages the contracts of 50,000 members: people under protection measures, in establishments, precarious public, carers and anyone who shares the same values as the company.

Beyond the “simple” reimbursement of care, they can count on the financial solidarity of the Social Fund which “was set up to respond quickly, efficiently and flexibly to emergency situations that go beyond the contract insurance. »

“It’s in our DNA to help”

From the outset, APS Prévoyance has established itself as a key player in social action systems in the field of health. It wins the call for tenders launched by the Department of Haute-Marne, which wishes to set up an AMG1 for its citizens in precarious situations. The initiative quickly inspired other Departmental Councils and in 2000 the CMU2 was established throughout the national territory. As the income ceiling set to benefit from this aid may exclude households in a difficult situation, APS Prévoyance is still responding by designing a specific insurance scheme for Haut-Saônois (then Héraultais).

Then the ACS3 was set up, before being replaced by the Complémentaire santé solidaire (CSS or C2S)4, two State schemes in which APS Prévoyance participates as an approved manager.

“Since its launch in 2019, our teams have supported people on a daily basis in the course of the Solidarity Complementary Health and facilitated each step. We have set up an information site (www.complementaire-sante-solidaire.fr), a fun web form for pre-filling the request, a video tutorial and a non-surcharged telephone number. And for those who wish, we offer optional so-called Comfort guarantees at a lower cost (eg: private room)”.

A social commitment that is also reflected in the company’s human resources management method. As part of a CSR approach, APS Prévoyance has set up collaborative management, working groups, human management and a differentiating recruitment method.

“For our teleconsultant positions, we recruit people who are far from employment, without a CV, cover letter or interview, only by voice and according to their reaction to a phone call from an insured person. These employees were able to benefit from 400 hours of certified training in insurance5”

“An endowment fund to extend solidarity to all”

Always keen to develop mutual aid beyond its members and to federate a network of supportive and committed partners, APS Prévoyance has created the “APS Solidarité” endowment fund. Its first action is the “Plan B-cane”, the objective of which is to help people with reduced mobility or who are prone to fatigue come out of their isolation.

“APS Solidarité collects unused wheelchairs and has them recycled by a partner integration project. These ‘B canes’ are then made available free of charge to associations or establishments wishing to improve their accessibility. »

More than ever, APS Prévoyance is part of a social and solidarity approach by making equity and access to healthcare for all a total commitment!

(1) Free Medical Assistance (2) Universal Health Coverage (3) Aid for Complementary Health (4) In 2019, Complementary Health Solidarity replaced the CMU-C and ACS schemes (5) Professional capacity of level insurance intermediaries II
