Greens want application advice for medium-sized companies and a funding program for social entrepreneurship
The city council group Grünes Bamberg wants to strengthen the existing medium-sized companies as well as small and micro enterprises by applying for funding management. “There are attractive sums of money in funding at federal and state level, but the application modalities represent a high hurdle. Professional and independent advice and support can achieve a lot here,” explains Green City Councilor Andreas Eichenseher.
A green vision for Bamberg’s economy is the promotion of “social entrepreneurship”. The elegant term can also be translated as social entrepreneurship – behind it are economic companies that are not primarily profit-oriented. Its aim is to solve social problems and to bring about positive change in society, for example in areas such as education, environmental protection, poverty reduction, projects for people with disabilities, etc.
Eichenseher sees perspectives for a sustainable economic policy in Bamberg and applies for rent subsidies for such entrepreneurial initiatives. He also refers to the new Bamberg Future Council, which has already defined “Social Entrepreneurship” as a focus topic.
