The first Apple Event of the year is expected for the month of March and Apple is preparing the marketing of the products that will be announced there. The famous Eurasian Economic Commission We had already unveiled the registration of new iPhone and iPad and a new deposit registered today tells us of the upcoming launch of three new Macs numbered A2615, A2686 and A2681. The Mac numbered A2681 is a portable computer; this clarification is not provided for the A2615 and A2686 models which should therefore be desktop computers.
The registration of the EEC does not give us the slightest additional clue and we will therefore have to wait for Apple’s presentation to find out more. If the rumors are to be believed, the laptop could be a 13.3″ MacBook Pro with Apple M2 chip, unless it’s the redesign of the MacBook Air which is however rather expected for the summer. For the rest, we expect the presentation of the Mac mini with Apple M1 Pro chip as well as the 27″ iMac with Apple M1 Pro chip, which some hallway noises were rather expecting for the summer but which we would take willingly for the spring batch.
Apple occasionally registers devices with the EEC several months in advance, so this filing isn’t a guarantee that we’ll see three new Macs at the spring Apple Event. It is nevertheless a very encouraging sign a few weeks before the first presentation of the year. At this conference, Apple should unveil the iPhone SE 5G and the iPad Air 5 which should be simple updates to existing models: the Mac could well occupy a good part of the presentation.
