American technology manufacturer Apple announced series feature new for iPhone and iPad. One of its features is the ability to imitate the user’s voice.

According to the official site Apple, the launch of these features is to support the “commitment to make products for everyone”. As a result, these features are also intended especially for those who are speech impaired or at risk of losing this ability.

“Apple today reviewed features for cognitive, vision, hearing, and mobility access along with innovative tools for those who cannot speak or are at risk of losing those abilities,” Apple wrote.

In this update there is a Personal Voice feature that allows users to read command text to record audio and make the technology learn their voice.

There’s also a related feature, Live Speech, which will use “synthesized voice” to read text that users type during phone calls, FaceTime conversations and private conversations.

“People will also be able to save commonly used phrases during live conversations,” Apple wrote.

Apple scheduled these features to be launched later this year. But did not mention the specific date and month of launch.

These features were launched in the midst of community needs. However, it cannot be denied that this launch was carried out amidst the rapid competition in developing AI.

Quoted from CNNartificial intelligence has raised the alarm against criminals who use fake audio and video, known as “deepfakes”, to deceive or misinform the public.

In a blog post, Apple claims the Personal Voice feature uses “on-device machine learning to keep user information private and secure.”

In addition to voice features, Apple announced Assistive Access, which combines some of the most popular iOS apps, such as FaceTime, Messages, Camera, Photos, Music, and Phone, into a single Calls app.

Interfaceit includes high-contrast keys, large text labels, an option for a custom emoji keyboard and the ability to record video messages for people who may prefer visual or audio communication.

Apple is also updating its Magnifier app for the visually impaired. The app now includes a detection mode to better help people interact with physical objects.

This update allows someone, for example, to hold the iPhone camera in front of the microwave and move their finger over the keyboard while the app labels and announces the text printed on the microwave button.
