“We have to anticipate, hopefully it doesn’t happen, that’s why we encourage PHBS. So far, there have been no reports of acute hepatitis from hospitals in the city of Solo. Hopefully there won’t be any reports,” said Siti, Monday (9/9). /5).

Siti said, everyone has the possibility of contracting acute hepatitis. Moreover, the spread is classified as very fast.

“I urge people to pay more attention to personal hygiene. For example, often wash their hands and not use eating utensils that have been used by other people before washing,” he suggested.

“Wash your hands, don’t use spoons together. If you eat, you must anticipate spoons and glasses,” he said again.

He warned parents who have children aged 14 years, because this age range is an age that is vulnerable to contracting acute hepatitis.

“The most vulnerable are aged 14 years and under. Children do not understand hygiene and sanitation,” he explained.

However, it is possible that the new variant of hepatitis will infect adults, so it is necessary to know the symptoms.

“The symptoms are weakness, vomiting, nausea. It’s the same as normal hepatitis. Continue to be sick,” he concluded.

Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka said monitoring, especially for children, would be intensified to anticipate being exposed to acute hepatitis.

“There are no cases in Solo, don’t worry. We will remain vigilant and anticipate that there will be no cases,” he said

If there are symptoms in children in particular, he continued, they will be immediately secured. Those concerned will be asked to isolate themselves.

“If the symptoms are visible, they will be immediately secured and isolated. We will monitor them, especially on children,” he concluded. [cob]
