Another woman died after gang rape in India

For the second time this week, an Indian woman from the lowest social group in the country has died after gang rape. The 22-year-old woman from the Dalit community was raped by two men and died on her way to hospital, police reported Thursday. The two men have been arrested.

In the capital New Delhi, hundreds of people took to the streets on Wednesday to demonstrate after the rape and death of a 19-year-old woman from the Dalit community. The police arrested four men as a result.

Both gang rapes were in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Several months ago, four men were hanged for the 2012 rape and murder of a student on a bus in Delhi.
