Another operator switches off the 3G network. These phones will lose fast internet

T-Mobile is retiring an outdated 3G network, the company announced on its website, adding that the network will be shut down at the end of November. 3G connection will be replaced by much more efficient LTE or 5G.

People who just call and text don’t have to worry. The services provided by 3G will be taken over by the 2G network. It will be available wherever an outdated connection is disconnected. “But if you want to use data in the future, we will replace or update the SIM card free of charge, which supports the new networks,” T-Mobile said on its website.

On March 31, mobile operator Vodafone was the first to disconnect the 3G network. O2 will also cancel the connection this year. The operator will shut down the network in most of the country on 31 May, and in the Zlín and Olomouc regions on 31 August.
