The appreciation has not stopped for the 2020 Olympic gold winners, Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu. This time, a hatchback-style car will fill the garage for the Indonesian women’s doubles pair.
PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) provided the Honda City Hatchback. The next generation of Honda Jazz cars in Indonesia will be given one each for the Indonesian women’s doubles pair.
“Honda believes that the power of dreams can bring us to the highest achievement. We are proud of the achievements of Greysia and Apriyani in realizing dreams and making the nation proud in the world,” wrote Hondaisme’s Instagram page as seen by detikcom, Friday (6/8/2021).
“As an appreciation for these two outstanding Honda loyalists, we present Honda’s latest innovation that best describes the energy and sporty spirit, 1 unit each of Honda City Hatchback RS for Greysia and Apriyani!,” added Hondaism.
Previously, a series of prizes had been presented by many parties to this Indonesian women’s doubles pair. Starting from coffee for life, beauty treatments for life, and even two of them are also given two outlets at the Baso Aci stall from Arief Muhammad. The government has also promised Rp 5 billion for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medalists.
Honda City Hatchback at a glance
The Honda City Hatchback RS was introduced to the Indonesian market in early March 2021. This car is a replacement for the Honda Jazz whose sales are no longer continuing in Indonesia.

In the performance sector, the Honda City Hatchback RS which has a CVT and 6 M/T transmission is supported by a 1.5L DOHC inline 4 cylinder engine, 16 valves i-VTEC + DBW which can produce a maximum power of 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and a peak torque of 145 Nm at 4,300. rpm. The engine is EURO 4 compliant and is also equipped with ECON Mode for driving character settings that are more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
