A bus driver in Dongen, North Brabant, was assaulted on Friday afternoon by a passenger who did not want to wear a face mask. The woman had to be treated for her injuries in a GP post, police said after reporting BN DeStem.
According to the newspaper, the incident happened around noon at the Mgr. Nolenslaan. The driver had spoken to the perpetrator about not wearing a mouth mask. He would have hit her in the face several times.
She had to be taken to the hospital post by ambulance. “She is very upset by what has happened, this is terrible to experience,” a spokesman for bus company Arriva told the newspaper.
Last Tuesday was a 67-year-old bus driver in Amsterdam badly beaten by a passenger who was denied access to the bus because he was not wearing a mouth mask.
