Anna Polívková will enter cinemas in Jiří Langmajer’s body

At the beginning, we meet Irena Kopáčová (Anna Polívková), a psychologist and partner specialist who is not going through a good period at the moment. Her recommendations to clients are somewhat lacking in effect, Irena is fired from her tenancy in the house where she has her surgery, and she immediately catches her friend in disbelief. That’s a good reason to go for a drink with a friend for four rather than one.

However, going for a witch in a wrapped state may not be the best idea. That’s where Irena makes a fateful wish: I want to be a guy! And in the morning he wakes up in a male mailbox embodied by Jiří Langmajer.

All she has to do is deal with the new situation, but there is no one who would initially believe that it is still her. In the end, her neighbor Radim (Marek Taclík), who has always been in love with Irena, gives her a helping hand. He trusts her and hopes that somewhere inside the elderly guy is his beloved. And he just has to free her, like a good prince.

Radim thus becomes Irena’s guide to the men’s world, and because he himself is a construction manager and at the same time a football coach, a number of hitherto completely unknown situations await the fragile woman.

“As a guy, I have a lot of female energy in me, so I had no problem with the role, after all, I have more friends among women than in men,” Langmajer told Práva during the filming:

“A much bigger problem than talking and thinking like a woman made me move a woman. I need a counselor who sometimes tells me that I should have my hands away from my body or that the girls move their heads more when they nod, “said the actor, who had a personal coach to prepare the role.

“And my wife taught me one trick: she has such a strange attitude, where one leg is completely straight and the other is turned to the left. Like she’s always done ballet! It hurts terribly, I feel like I have a dislocated leg, but she claims it’s extremely comfortable. So I’ve used it several times. “

How a woman behaves

Rudolf Havlík claims that he did not originally think about the couple. “We had no idea that the film could be such a spectator success! The sequel was created mainly because I enjoy making comedies, I enjoy people laughing at the cinema. But we were afraid if we could follow the humor for which the audience liked the first film, “said Havlík, who this time joined Filip Oberfalcer in writing the screenplay after Radka Třeštíková, who wrote number one.

“It seemed nice to give the young man a chance. I am convinced that it turned out very well. Thanks also to Jirka Langmajer and Anička Polívková, who this time does not have such a comedic role as in the first film, but managed to prepare the ground for Jirka, “added Havlík.

“During the filming, I realized that I had to concentrate quite a bit to be more feminine than usual, and that maybe I should cultivate it in my private life as well,” says Polívková. “Jirka actually wanted me to coach him a little, which made me laugh, but then we still didn’t have time.”

Last year, Polívková and Langmajer shot the series Spunti on the Road, so together with the film What Men Want 2, they lived together for almost half a year. Jiří allegedly peeked at his colleague to clarify how to take on his role.

“However, I did not want to imitate her, that is not the main joke. I tried to behave at least a little within my male body so that people think: so there may be a cursed woman in this body, ”adds Langmajer.

A bunch of newcomers

The new character is a neighbor, Radim (Marek Taclík), who employs Irena in a man’s body in his construction team and at the same time brings her (or his) to an amateur football team that trains.

“I’ve shot with Mark Taclík a few times and we’re friends. Marek is a great comedian and at the same time a character actor. He can feel what he’s playing, and he knows exactly how to do it to make it right. I really appreciate him for that, “says Havlík about the actor. He doesn’t hide that he was his first choice.

However, there was not much room for improvisation. “We both had a pretty similar idea of how Mark’s character should work. One has to be prepared for these things. The vast majority of humor does not come from improvisation. Rarely on canvas. Everything must be prepared, “says Havlík.

Radim’s son was played by another newcomer, Oskar Hes. “I play a boy nicknamed Chi. But he doesn’t have it on his head, it’s probably a nickname that lasted from his childhood. He is a football player, a bit of a shampoo, but he likes to be older guys, he enjoys it and he loves football, “he introduces his character Hes and adds to the shooting:

“I was lucky to have filmed with Mark twice, with Langos once, and I always enjoy seeing each other on the set. They are the bards from which one can draw. I both admire their peace. “

The third in the group of newcomers is Tereza Kostková, who was given the role of Irena’s girlfriend Marcela.

“Ruda has given me a perfect role. That film is a comedy in which there are clear types, archetypes, and they need to contrast. When the main character turns into a man, it is necessary to have a typical woman there as a counterpart so that the contrast can be heard, “says Kostková.

And it is said that she was given such a role to her satisfaction. “Overall, it’s actually pretty crazy with a lot of humor, and I enjoy that,” he adds.
