Anna Florinioti: What she said about her brother’s death and the medical mistakes that preceded it – Pelop.gr

THE Anna Floriniotis speaking to ANT1 revealed about him Nikos Floriniotis that “they took out an olive and did not send it for a biopsy. This is tragic.” It was an olive on the shoulder, about which Anna Florinioti said “I had no idea”.

She then explained that “then it became like a cyst, like a lipoma, which again my brother had not informed me about”. She added that Nikos Floriniotis “went to have it removed at a state hospital. They told him “come in two weeks to get the biopsy”. Nikos, I remember, was afraid to go. We had driven him crazy to go.” Immediately afterwards he added that Nikos Floriniotis finally went after a month and was told that “there is no biopsy and that he had taken it and we don’t find anything. Lost”.

Anna Florinioti said: “So my brother thought that since no one notified him, it wouldn’t be something serious to notify him.” But he pointed out that “this started and grew. My mom started taking him to the doctors to get it out. And the doctors told us “it’s lipoma. Don’t be crazy”.

Afterwards, Anna Floriniotis referred to the MRI scan that Nikos Floriniotis had done. “The same night they called and told us ‘please run in the morning. This is not lipoma, I don’t like what I see”. We were horrified and began our Calvary. We were looking to find the best doctors. This whole process took two years.”

According to what Anna Florinioti narrated, “the doctor had told him that we will win by 60%. Together we will fight. I will do everything from my side.” The singer’s sister also said that Nikos Floriniotis then started immunotherapy. “In the beginning everything was going well.” Two months later, however, the cancer metastasized in the “worst place” as the doctor told him, in the meninges.

Anna Florinioti emphasized that “at any point, even if it had gone to the brain, it could be operated on, irradiated, something can be done”. In closing, he recalled “the last time we entered the hospital, the doctors said to me, ‘Listen, see Annula, you will not be discharged this time'”.
