Sony has on Instagram shared an image showing the Xperia 10 II and the Xperia 10 III. Below the image is the text “Android 12† This seems to be a clear reference to an Android 12 update launch for these two smartphones.
Sony already has a Android 12-update rolled out to the high end Xperia 1 II on Xperia 5IIIbut we expect the same update on the mid-range soon Xperia 10 II on Xperia 10III enters. We don’t have an exact release date yet, but Sony’s Instagram message suggests that we won’t have to wait long.
The Sony Xperia 10 II appeared on the market two years ago with Android 10. It is good to hear that the smartphone will receive an Android 12 update, because Sony is not known for its many updates.
