After Dexter which recently returned to Showtime, it’s time to Sex and The City to return to the air. The revival titled And Just Like That… debuts today on HBO Max and arrives in France this Friday on the Salto platform.
What is And Just Like That…
Aired between 1998 and 2004 on HBO, the original Sex and The City, inspired by a book by Candace Bushnell, therefore lasted six seasons for a total of 94 episodes before continuing in the form of two feature films in 2008 and 2010. There was for a while a question of a third film that was born. ‘never happened. On the other hand, there was a prequel, The Carrie Diaries, which aired on The CW from 2013 for two seasons, with AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie.
The story of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) therefore continues now on HBO Max – without Samantha Jones, Kim Cattrall having chosen not to return.
If the quartet is now just a trio, the three women will be surrounded by their partners, friends and other acquaintances in this revival which is then interested in following Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte now having to face the complications of life and the trials of friendship when you’re in your fifties.
