The police received the report of bodily injury in a house on Bremnes in Bømlo municipality at 14.39 on Saturday.
A man in his 70s has received stab wounds and has been sent to Haukeland University Hospital by air ambulance. The extent of the damage is unknown.
A woman in her 60s has been arrested, reports the South-West police district.
The police state that it is too early to say anything about the background for the incident or the relationship between the two people.
– Now we have initiated tactical and technical investigation and are trying to get clarity on what has happened. We have control of the city, says operations manager Irene Ragnhildstveit in the South-West police district to NRK.
