The President of the United States, Donald Trump, told people close to him this Saturday that he plans to appoint Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the vacant seat on the United States Supreme Court for death of Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, according to people familiar with the process. This seventh circuit judge’s choice of court, if confirmed, will ensure a solid conservative majority in the highest court for many years.
