Maaloul, the Al-Ahly player, confirmed that he will not leave Al-Ahly, nor will he compete in another tournament at the present time.
Maaloul stressed, in statements to the Tunisian “Diwan FM” station, his willingness to end his career with his former Tunisian team, Sfaxien, as a kind of response to him.
Maaloul expressed his hope that the Sfaxien club will be in the CAF Champions League next season, explaining that he was close to returning to the Sfaxien Club a season and a half ago in exchange for huge material concessions, before renewing his contract with Al-Ahly.
The Tunisian star revealed the scenes of his appearance on the program “Ramez Majnoun Official” that is presented by Ramez Jalal, on MBC Egypt, and said: “I was invited to the program on the basis that it is a photography program bearing the name of the truth chair.”
He continued: “I was surprised by the presence of Ramez Jalal and amazed at the media hype that occurred after his appearance on the program, and I do not know the reason for this hype,” denying that there was representation in the program and that what happened was a natural reaction.
He continued: «It is reported that I got money estimated at 3 and 10 million dollars in return for my appearance in the program and this is not true», and he jokingly continued: “If I got this I would get out in 3 or 4 ads and quit football.”
He continued: “The media in Egypt differs from Tunisia. Before appearing in a program or advertisement, you must obtain the approval of the club, and there are contracts that are concluded, which means that the materials go to the club.”
