FC Bayern Munich: Real and Liverpool left behind: Bayern celebrate jersey triumph – Bundesliga

Bayern is European jersey champion!

The German record champions sold 3.25 million jerseys last year, more than any other team in Europe!

Even the royals can’t keep up. Real Madrid ranks second with 3.05 million jerseys sold, Liverpool third with 2.45 million jerseys sold. The figures were collected in a study by the FIFA-certified marketing agency “Euromerica Sport Marketing”.

And another Bundesliga club has made it into the top 10. BVB has sold 1.22 million jerseys and is surprisingly ahead of Paris Saint-Germain (8th place). Although the French signed a real “top seller” in mega-star Lionel Messi (34) last summer, they “only” sold 1.18 million jerseys.

Munich’s front runners aren’t just in jersey sales. According to a study by Wedbureaus.nl, Bayern have the most loyal stars in the Bundesliga.

All players who were used in the first team in the league during the 2021 calendar year were taken into account.

On average, professionals stay in Munich for 56.1 months, more than four and a half years! The longest-serving Bavarian by far is Thomas Müller (32/contract until 2023), who switched to Bayern’s youth team in 2000. Then comes goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (35/his contract is to be extended until 2025), who came from Schalke in 2011.

Gladbach follows in second place with 48.6 months. The professionals stay with Dortmund for just over two and a half years (32.2 months).

And at which club do the Bundesliga stars leave the fastest?

Union Berlin! The capital club has the worst value in the Bundesliga. After only 21.4 months, the players look for a new club on average.
