Alex Rins calls Honda racing bikes very different from Suzuki

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Runners MotoGP Alex Rins officially joins LCR Honda in the next 2023 season. Rins will race in the satellite team together with his teammate Takaaki Nakagami.

The Spanish rider shared his first experience riding a Honda racing bike last November. According to Rins, the performance of Honda bikes is not as bad as Marc Marquez has been complaining lately.

“It’s actually a strange, complicated feeling because this is a very different bike from Suzuki,” said Rins, quoted by Motosan.esThursday (5/1/2023).

“I have to say that it doesn’t seem like a bad bike to me. I liked the bike and I was one second behind the first. It looks like it will be a bike with a lot of potential.”

As is well known, Honda’s performance in the 2022 season can be considered bad. Honda’s results are also now far behind several European manufacturers in MotoGP, such as Ducati, Aprilia and KTM.

However, Rins remained confident and determined to step up Honda’s performance and return to his former Honda glory MotoGP 2023even if he raced for the satellite team.

“I believe in Alberto Puig and Lucio Cecchinello, they want to build a winning bike and I’ll do my best. It means they trust me. I’m the first to want to win even if I’m in a satellite team.
