Jakarta

Alex Marquez realized he was difficult to compete with the top riders MotoGP 2020. Younger brother of Marc Marquez it admitted that it could not reach the podium position.

Alex again failed to achieve positive results in the race MotoGP San Marino at the Marco Simoncelli Circuit, Sunday (13/9/2020) evening WIB. Team rider Repsol Honda it finished 17th out of 19 riders who were able to finish the race.

His achievement decreased one level from the results achieved by Alex at the Styria MotoGP, which was in 16th place. There is also his best achievement in the six races that have been undertaken, namely finishing in eighth position in the Andalusian MotoGP series.

To date, Alex Marquez has just collected 15 points and is in 17th place in the standings MotoGP. These results can be said to be silly for a factory team rider.

In fact, other teams and riders were racing to climb the podium after Marc Marquez, the defending MotoGP champion and teammate of Alex, was absent due to an arm injury. There are 12 riders who have tasted the top three positions from a total of 18 podiums during the six MotoGP 2020 races.

Not a few parties think Alex failed to compete in the top flight because of problems with his mount. The 24-year-old rider has not been able to conquer the strength of the RC123V motorbike that has led his brother to become the king of MotoGP.

Regarding the opportunity to be able to compete for the podium, Alex Marquez confirmed if it was beyond its reach. The 2019 Moto2 champions can only hope for the best for the rest of the 2020 MotoGP season.

“Without Marc, things are getting crazier in this class. I am realistic, but the podium is not within my reach at the moment,” said Alex. Speedweek.

“We will continue to work hard, not only for this year, but also for the future,” he said.
