According to him, the trip home can help him relax mentally, turn off his concentration on biathlon for a while. At the same time, however, it is clear to him that traveling can deprive him of physical strength and, in addition, increases the possible risk of coronavirus infection.
“Not being at home for two months seems like an awfully long time to me, and that’s why I’m taking the risk. I am of the opinion that when one thinks about something excessively and is afraid of it, it happens. So I let it flow and I believe it will turn out well. The way home has risks, but the positives prevail for me, “Moravec explained.

His partner Michal Krčmář spent the whole 7 weeks away from home. He wants to save energy and due to the epidemiological situation he would also not like to risk contact with his family.
“It’s rough, some 47 days away. But this is not the first time, I’ve tried it a few times over the years. I’m not the type to be devastated. Weeks and races are then in quick succession, “says Krčmář.
However, he admits that without coronavirus, he too would return to his homeland: “I would gain energy, meet my loved ones and react. Now the journey home is losing its meaning for me. “
From Idre, Sweden, most of the Czech team will head straight for the races to Kontiolahti, Finland, from where they will then move to companies in Hochfilzen, Austria.
