AirPods Pro 2 latest firmware update. Fixed audio drift bug

On the 8th (local time), Apple released a new firmware update for the second generation AirPods Pro.

Installing the new firmware updates the build number from 5A377 to 5B58. Apple only briefly mentioned in its release notes that it “contains bug fixes and other enhancements,” but users report that the audio drift bug has been fixed.

Audio drift bugs refer to problems with the sound moving between the sides of the two earbuds. When the audio moves back and forth between the earphones, it may not be synchronized with the video. This issue is known to occur even with spatial audio and head detection disabled.

The latest firmware is installed when the AirPods are connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth.
