Scandals in BSP continue. After the exclusion of some of the opposition yesterday, it became clear today that the decision will be attacked in court. Declarations of departure also followed.
Today is the first day of MEP Petar Vitanov’s expulsion from BSP.
“Nothing is over, the resistance continues. Look, a first-generation liquidator cannot exclude a third-generation socialist. What will it take from me?” commented Petar Vitanov, expelled from the BSP.
Vitanov is adamant that the decision to exclude 14 people from the party is unconstitutional and will be attacked in court. And the management’s explanation after hand-to-hand combat at the congress:
“This occupation of the tribune, the pounding on the tribune, the cries of ‘Resignation’ naturally gave rise to the emotional reaction of the congress to punish these people,” explained Christian Vigenin.
In addition to the court, the expelled plan to complain about the decision of the congress and to the all-party control commission.
Against the background of the scandals, today significant figures announced that they are leaving the BSP. Others – that they are leaving the BSP leadership.
“In my opinion, the most shameful episode in the history of the BSP. The entire management of the BSP must be replaced. None of these people can stay,” said Kostadin Paskalev.
Today, at a meeting of the left, many of the former members of the party, who are preparing to jointly appear in the elections, appeared and recalled that they had also invited the BSP more than once.
“We have seen that the party is hypnotized by the leader’s demagoguery and cannot stop the processes of self-destruction,” noted Maya Manolova.
Unofficially, it is claimed that next week there will be more people who have left the party.
