It’s Friday, you know what that means, a new installment of AEW Rampage! Excalibur welcomes us to the Rampage edition, joined by Taz and Chris Jericho on commentary.

1. Match
AEW TNT Championship
Singles Match
Sammy Guevara (c) defeated Andrade El Idolo (w/ Isiah Kassidy, Jose The Assistant & Matt Hardy) via pin after a double jump top rope cutter.
Match time: 12:23

After the match, Matt Hardy launches an attack on Sammy Guevara, but Darby Allin and Sting make the save. In the end, Kassidy takes Allin’s coffin drop.

QT Marshall comes out and holds a promo. To be on the safe side, he has some students with him as security guards. He asks Hook to come out. Taz’s son comes out as Marshall says he taught him self-respect. Hook arrives at the ring and Marshall orders his students to stop him. Marshall’s students charge at Hook but are knocked out by him. Among other things, Hook can choke a rookie unconscious with the Redrum. Meanwhile, QT Marshall retires and looks at Hook’s craft.

Backstage, Dan Lambert and the Men of the Year (Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky) hold a promo. Lambert says he met with AEW President Tony Khan to give Sky a shot at the TNT Championship in Ladder Match, but Khan had a different suggestion. This is how Sky should be at the Face of the Revolution ladder match. After tough negotiations, Sky was awarded a title match. This match will take place before the winner of the ladder match will cash in on their title opportunity.

2. Match
Singles Match
Wardlow (w/ Shawn Spears) defeated Nick Comoroto (w/ Aaron Solo) via pin after a powerbomb.
Match time: 06:25

After the match, Solo tries to launch an attack on Wardlow, but he catches a powerbomb. Before Wardlow can sing the “Powerbomb Symphony,” Spears hits Solo with a chair while he was in a powerbomb position. Afterwards, Spears grabs a microphone while Wardlow is visibly pissed off. Spears tells him that “Powerbomb Symphony” isn’t “over” and explains that that means the actions are popular. Wardlow should go back to basics and asked him to stop powerbombing. The segment ends with Spears hugging and Wardlow about to erupt.

3. Match
Singles Match – 5-Minute Challenge
Serena Deeb defeated Kayla Sparks via submission in Serenity Lock.
Match time: 02:29

In the ring, Thunder Rosa meets Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship Match signing at the AEW Revolution PPV, hosted by Tony Schiavone. Baker holds a promo and says people only care about Rosa if she meddles in the DMD opportunity. She is reminiscent of the Lights Out Match that Rosa won, but in the end Baker got a pawn and the title. So she is the real winner. After Baker signs the contract, Rosa launches an attack on the title holder, but Jamie Hayter and Rebel help Baker out. Mercedes Martinez makes the save for Rosa and gets Hayter through the table. The segment ends with Thunder Rosa holding up the title and celebrating success with Martinez.

The following things are announced for the next week:

Dynamite:

6 Man Tag Team Match
„Hangman“ Adam Page & The Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) vs. Adam Cole & reDRagon

Tag Team Battle Royale
The winning team will earn a spot in the Three-Way Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Revolution.

A big announcement from Tony Khan.

For “Revolution” the match for the AEW TBS Championship between Jade Cargill and Tay Conti is officially confirmed.

As usual, The Acclaimed precedes a match with a rap from Max Caster. One line was clearly cut out because it was about Putin.

4. Match
Singles Match – Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier
Orange Cassidy (w/ Wheeler Yuta) defeated Anthony Bowens (w/ Max Caster) via pin after the orange punch.
Match time: 10:15
– During the match, a hooded person appeared and messed with Caster. The person turns out to be Danhausen. Caster tries to attack him, but Danhausen dodges and Caster takes an orange punch from Cassidy.
– This places Cassidy alongside Keith Lee, Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks in the Face of the Revolution ladder match at the Revolution PPV.
