Actor, screenwriter and director Carl Reiner († 98) dies, shines in Danny’s companions

“My father left last night. As I write this, my heart is suffering. He was the light that guided me,” Rob Reiner, Carl Reiner’s son, posted on social media on Tuesday afternoon.

Carl Reiner became famous mainly thanks to his sitocom The Dick Van Dyke Show, which won a number of awards. After completing this project, he shot an adaptation of Joseph Stein’s Enter Laughing. Others followed.
