Actor Kevin Spacey charged in United Kingdom with assaulting three men

American actor Kevin Spacey has been charged in Britain with four counts of sexual abuse against three men.

The 62-year-old actor was charged with four counts of abuse against three men after police re-examined a slew of complaints about acts that took place between 2005 and 2013. In November 2017, London’s Old Vic Theater company reported that it had killed 20 independent had received allegations from men who had come into contact with Spacey through the theater company between 1995 and 2013. Spacey was working there as the artistic director during that period.

“The CPS has cleared criminal proceedings against Kevin Spacey on four counts of sexual assault against three men,” Rosemary Ainslie, head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) special crime division, told British media. He is also charged with inciting penetrative sexual acts without consent. The charges follow a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation.”

Also in 2017, actor Anthony Rapp came out with the story that an adult Spacey had groped him when he was fourteen. Spacey was removed from the Netflix series after those accusations House of cards written and replaced in the movie All the money in the world.

Last month became known that the actor had been given a role in the historical drama film 1242 – gateway to the west, about the Mongol leader Batu Khan. It was the actor’s first major project since he was fired from House of cards.
