A year ago it all seemed like a piece of cake between Monique and André. The singer was back with Monique after a short romance with Bridget Maasland, when he got down on his knees just before the holidays. While we saw some sketches of ‘the dress’, the wedding never happened.
A little later it turned out that André and Monique had split up and not much longer after that, the singer found his happiness with Sarah van Soelen. The relationship between the two is absolutely turbulent. They moved in together, but now they no longer live under the same roof. She calls it a pause, he doesn’t comment on it.

Many people say they know for sure that André is back together with Monique, partly because he celebrated Sinterklaas with her and their son. Mother Rachel, who has never been able to get on well with Monique, says there is no question of a relationship. “Just a father visiting his son,” she said before the camera of RTL Boulevard.
Anyway, today it’s been one year since André made a fairy tale come true for Monique and proposed to her. She also looks back on this day on her Instagram. ’12•12 is forever a very special date for me in several ways’, she writes.
