Saved by the Bellactor Dustin Diamond has cancer that has only recently been discovered at an advanced stage. His spokesman confirms this to the American entertainment site TMZ.
The cancer has spread throughout the 44-year-old actor’s body. He is currently receiving his first chemotherapy. Diamond recently discovered a growth in his throat and was diagnosed with cancer.
According to his spokesperson, Diamond also has shingles, an infection that causes a rash and is often painful and itchy.
Diamond turned last weekend included in a hospital in Florida. Then feared TMZ all that the actor might have cancer. Multiple cancer diagnoses have been diagnosed in his family, the entertainment site reports. His mother died of breast cancer.
Diamond is best known for his role as Screech in the teen series Saved by the Bell. He played the character, intermittently, for thirteen years.
