The students of the Reina Sofía school have been delivering the collection of the solidarity market that they carry out every year on the occasion of the Day of Peace, open to parents, to different NGOs in the town. This year it has not been possible to carry out this activity due to the pandemic, so the schoolchildren have produced different objects in classes with recycled or reused materials such as fridge magnets, games of tic-tac-toe, candle holders … that have been taken home , as items cannot be exchanged. In each class they placed a piggy bank to collect the voluntary contributions of the families. “The children knew that the collection was for ACMAVI and participation has multiplied by two, exceeding all forecasts,” explained the director of the center, Alfonso Lacasa, “A total of 1,300 euros for a community like ours is a reflection of an enormous effort on the part of the families,” he added.
