A 37-year-old Austrian drove shortly before 10:15 p.m. on Amriswilerstrasse in the direction of Romanshorn TG. He collided with a traffic island at “Spitz” and then crashed into a hedge, according to the Thurgau canton police.

The man had probably already drunk a few glasses: the breath alcohol test showed a value of around 2 per mille (1.05 mg/l). The Austrian had to hand in his driver’s license. Nobody was hurt by the accident. There was property damage of several thousand francs. (gin)
