The visit of the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, to Salt (Girona) has ended this Sunday with incidents and with the throwing of objects by dozens of opposing protesters in their presence, they have collided with the Mossos d’Esquadra agents who were part of the security system. The launch of objects has also occurred during the visit of the Secretary General of Vox, Javier Ortega Smith, to Valls (Tarragona).
The incidents in Salt and Valls come a day after those registered in Vic (Barcelona), where the visit of Ortega Smith and the head of the Vox list for the 14F, Ignacio Garriga, also ended with the throwing of stones and other objects against the car entourage of the far-right formation.
On this occasion, Vox had called an electoral act for this Sunday in the municipality of Salt, next to Girona, with the presence of Abascal and the Vox deputy in Congress Macarena Olona.
Dozens of protesters have gathered in the surroundings of the Plaza Llibertat de Salt, separated from the act by a device of the Mossos d’Esquadra. While Abascal intervened, The protesters have thrown objects at the leader of Vox, who was protected with umbrellas by members of the security team.
Abascal has denounced the “throwing of stones, eggs and fruits” against those attending the event and has accused the Ministry of the Interior of the Generalitat of being an “accomplice” of the protesters for their “total passivity”.
For an hour there has been the launch of blunt objects that shocked the attendees. Meanwhile, total passivity of the mossos who had orders not to dissolve.

In Valls, Mossos riot agents have charged the dozens of protesters who had gathered to protest Ortega Smith’s visit. According to Mossos sources consulted by Efe, in Valls there has been a person denounced for resistance to authority.
It’s a statement, Vox has explained that Abascal has gone to the head of the police device to show him the objects that were being thrown. According to Vox, “the person responsible for the device has not provided any kind of response to the security demand” from Abascal.
For her part, Olona has affirmed that Vox “will not take a step backwards” in front of the “savages” and has added: “We already know you. We have fought you in the Basque Country and now in Catalonia.”

Vox will take the Minister of the Interior before the Central Electoral Board
Abascal has announced that will take the Minister of the Interior of the Generalitat, Miquel Sàmper, before the Electoral Board by the incidents produced in the electoral rallies of the formation. The president of Vox has informed of this decision during an electoral act in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).
The leader of the far-right party has held the “political orders” responsible from the Ministry of the Interior of the altercations that have prevented the Mossos d’Esquadra from dissolving the demonstrations against the presence of Vox in several municipalities, according to Abascal.
