A woman was killed shortly after 7 am this Saturday morning, by stabbing, at her home in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis). Her partner was arrested.
“The man would have killed his wife with a knife. Four children were taken care of,” said the Bobigny prosecutor’s office. The children, the oldest of whom is 14, were present at the home at the time of the tragedy.
He slaughtered his wife before calling the police
According to a police source, the man slaughtered his wife in front of the children before calling the police himself. The latter challenged him.
The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police of Seine-Saint-Denis. The first elements do not state “a particular alert on this couple”.
102 women lost their lives in 2020 in France under the blows of their spouse or ex-spouse, a figure at the lowest since the establishment of statistics 15 years ago. Feminicides are the final stage of violence suffered by more than 200,000 women per year.
