23/06/2021 – 02:02 Police

A neighbor of San Germés neighborhood he reported that a woman had scammed him. The young man – surnamed Olivera (24) – was present at Police Station 56 of La Banda and reported that a woman, whom he had met through social networks, had scammed him.

The young man said that he is dedicated to the sale of dollars (commonly known as “little tree”) and that he had been contacted by the defendant through Facebook, where he would have made a publication offering the foreign currency.

After a conversation, they agreed to a meeting on Saturday evening. Once they both arrived at the agreed place, according to the young man’s complaint, there they “exchanged” bags with money.

As the victim explained, the defendant entered his home to verify that the dollar bills they had sold her were not apocryphal, while he continued to wait. There he decided to check his weights and it was then that he discovered that there were only clipped papers.

The victim stated that he waited for several minutes for the accused to return, but never did.

After making the complaint, Dr. Cecilia Pacheco – prosecutor on duty – ordered that the Robbery and Theft Division of La Banda take charge of the investigations.

Inquiries

The victim stated that in parallel, he began inquiries on his part, and it was thus that during the day yesterday he came to a business near Jujuy and Alem streets, where he stated that the accused was working.

Personnel from the First Police Station arrived at the scene and interviewed the victim, who explained what happened. The uniformed officers contacted Dr. Pacheco who ordered them to wait at the scene until Robo y Hurto personnel from La Banda arrive.

When the Bandeña delegation arrived at the place they met with the owner of the store, who stated that the person whom the victim was looking for does not work in that place. He also maintained that he does not recognize her.

A lawyer, representative of the business, also arrived at the place and met with the uniformed men, who had to leave the place, since such defendant was not in that business.

The Prosecutor’s Office continues with the investigations, and as it was learned, it does not rule out any hypothesis about the case. l
