NEW YORK – Authorities are seeking a suspect of repeatedly beating and robbing a taxi driver after he completed a career in the Bronx, authorities have announced.
The incident occurred on Saturday, October 17, around 7:30 a.m., when the 40-year-old taxi driver was dropping off two female passengers at the corner of Home Street and Prospect Avenue, authorities said.
It was at that moment that the suspect would have opened the victim’s door and began to punch him in the face. Then, the report says, the individual would have removed the taxi driver from the vehicle and driven the car against two unoccupied cars that were parked.
The suspect fled the scene on foot and stole two cellphones worth about $ 300. The victim did not want medical attention.
The subject the police are looking for is described as a man in his 20s, with dark complexion, short black hair and last seen wearing a hooded jumper, black pants and dark sneakers.
