Tarnovka has been in custody for 24 hours after stabbing her 15-year-old daughter in the leg. The drama took place on Saturday night. Earlier in the day, the Veliko Tarnovo police sought the help of the mother, who reported that the girl had not returned. A little later, when a uniformed officer went to the apartment to clarify the signal, the teenager returned home. In the evening, however, the tension between the two escalated, and probably under the influence of alcohol, the mother grabbed a knife and stabbed it in the girl’s thigh.
At around 19:05, a call was made to 112 and emergency services and police arrived at the address. The teenager was taken to MOBAL “Dr. Stefan Cherkezov”. The Emergency Department found that the depth of the puncture was 10 centimeters, and the girl lost about a liter of blood. Surgery and blood transfusions were required. The injured child was placed in the surgery ward and is recovering from the injury.
The mother was detained by police for up to 24 hours. According to unconfirmed information, she systematically abused alcohol and had mental health problems.
Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted in the case for causing bodily harm, police said.
