A minor found naked and bleeding in the trunk of a car, in Amilly: two suspects imprisoned for kidnapping

Montargis police arrested two people aged 17 and 18 on Friday, February 24, for alleged acts of “kidnapping, sequestration and intentional violence”, said in a press release, the Departmental Directorate of Public Security of Loiret. .

At the end of their police custody, they were indicted and imprisoned.

A drug debt between the victim and the two suspects could be at the origin of the violence.

Suspicious cars

The facts date from the night of Thursday February 23 to Friday February 24, at 1:20 a.m., in Amilly.

On patrol, the Montargau police decided to check “two suspicious vehicles” which they had just spotted at the bottom of the Jean-Vilar parking lot. The cars are empty of occupants but the windows have “remained open”. The patrol separates into two groups, to follow noises emanating from an undergrowth on the one hand; and investigate the trunk of one of the cars, from which emanate calls for help.

Upon opening the trunk, the police discovered a “completely naked” young man, his face bloodied. In the undergrowth, the police arrest two men aged 17 and 18, hidden in brambles.

The firefighters took care of the victim, aged 16, transported to the Amilly-Montargis hospital center. The nature of his injuries was not specified.

The time in police custody made it possible to clarify the role of the two arrested in this case, leading to their indictment “for acts of kidnapping, sequestration and voluntary violence”, indicated the police on Tuesday February 28.

On Wednesday March 1, the Montargis public prosecutor clarified the charges, namely: “extortion with ITT for more than 8 days (10 days for the 16-year-old victim), forcible confinement and aggravated violence.”
