A 57-year-old man stabbed a 10-year-old boy with a kitchen knife in a department store in Munich, German police said, quoted by the Associated Press and BTA.
The attack took place last night. About 50 police officers responded on the spot at the TC Max department store in Munich, local media Bayerischer Rundfunk reported.
The child was injured in the neck and shoulder and was transported to hospital. According to police, his injuries were severe but not life-threatening.
According to Bayerischer Rundfunk, there is no information that the man and the child are connected. The suspect was arrested at the crime scene and is currently under investigation for attempted murder.
