‘A lot of content has been removed from Cyberpunk 2077 and will be offered via DLC in the coming months’

Cyberpunk 2077 is a fairly long game in itself, but initially the new creation of CD Projekt RED would be much more extensive. This is evidenced by a post from one of the developers shared on GameFAQS, which includes a booklet about what happened behind the scenes.

One of the things is that the Polish studio has cut a lot in the content, so that the release was reached in 2020. The result is that various promised content and features are not in the game, but that will be added to the game in the long run.

So much content has been left out that CD Projekt RED will have enough left up to June later this year to further expand the game. This includes new quests, but possibly also brand new gameplay features. Whether that also means that the superficial ‘Wanted’ system will see expansion remains to be seen.

According to whoever shares this information, the system would be much more extensive and deeper with the police, but due to time constraints they have not been able to make all systems work well enough and so omitting it was the better option. And that goes for a lot of other things.

It’s also interesting that Keanu Reeves wasn’t the first choice for the role of Johnny Silverhand, but that the character was even crazier and cooler in terms of personality. Initially it was also considered to have the voice of Silverhand performed by Cilian Murphy.

However, none of this has been officially confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt. It is certain that we can expect the first downloadable content this month, as you were able to do last week read here on PSX-Sense. Furthermore, CD Projekt RED now seems to want to take a No Man’s Sky approach, with a big comeback in June later this year.
