A large-scale coronavirus vaccination center will be created in the suburbs of Paris at the largest sports arena in France, Stade de France. This is reported on Tuesday, March 23 Ukrinform with reference to local authorities.
Vaccinations there are expected to begin in early April, when the stadium will resume public access following the arena’s closure due to quarantine. The representative of the local authorities noted that this will be a real “vaccination center” capable of providing vaccinations for up to 10 thousand people weekly.
The vaccination center at Stade de France will employ 120 people.
As of March 22, more than 6.1 million people have already received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in France; the second – almost 2.5 million. There are more than 1.1 million doses of vaccines in the country to continue the vaccination campaign. The government plans to vaccinate 30 million people by mid-June.
