The Government of Spain decreed another extension of the state of alarm for a further fifteen days, until May 9, inclusive, and also made an announcement that was well received in that country, along with the drop in the number of deaths from the virus in the last day: children will be allowed to go out on the street from April 27, although in a limited and controlled manner.
“After consulting with specialists in child psychology and pediatrics, the experts consider that it is possible to alleviate the confinement of children,” said the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, announcing a determination that will now be transferred to the regional presidents for ratification. The idea is fully consistent with the requests made in previous days by various autonomous communities such as Catalonia, which yesterday publicly presented a detailed proposal in this regard.
