A DPR member says the police can investigate the persecution of Gunadarma without a complaint

Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Ahmad Sahroni spoke about the case of the prosecution of the guilty abuse at Gunadarma University. Sahroni encouraged the police to deal with the persecution case without having to wait for the victim’s complaint.

“I think the local police should be able to try this act of harassment and beating immediately, because it is an ordinary crime. There is no need to wait for the victim’s complaint. The video evidence is also clear and viral,” Sahroni said. journalists, Saturday (17/12/2022).

Sahroni said the case must be followed up immediately by the Depok Metropolitan Police. This is to make the public understand that the acts of persecution are really not justified.

“This needs to be processed immediately to make the public understand that the surveillance and persecution are absolutely not justified,” he said.

Earlier, two students of Gunadarma, Depok were stripped naked and forced to drink their own urine on campus. Both were harassed by a group of students after allegedly harassing Gunadarma students.

Metro Depok Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, AKBP, Yogen Heroes Baruno explained that this persecution began with a viral social media post regarding harassment of female students. Police said there were three female students who were being harassed by two students.

The harassment case later ended peacefully. The victim withdrew the complaint as she had forgiven the offender and did not want the case extended.
