The operation attracted attention
The large police operation also attracted the attention of the locals. An eyewitness noticed a police dog and police cars near Vuosaarentie.
– I was on my way to the store and I wondered why there was a police dog and police patrols there. Just as if they were looking for something, the eyewitness tells Iltalehte.
When returning from the store, the eyewitness saw how the deceased was being transferred to the hearse. It was around half past four at that time, so the police operation had lasted a couple of hours.
– After that, the police still remained at the scene. The dog seemed to be looking for something, the eyewitness says.
Even before four o’clock, it was not known whether a crime was suspected in the case. The uncertainty also worried the locals.
– After all, it raises a bit of uncertainty when you don’t know if it was a murder or not. After all, it’s stopping when something like this comes close, an eyewitness commented to Iltalehte at the time.
