A 38-year-old woman from a locality in Iași, who came shopping with her husband and child, felt sick and, a few hours later, died.
Her husband told the doctors that she was taking pills to get rid of the flu without consulting a doctor. She was not vaccinated, and tests showed she had Covid.
The 38-year-old woman, her husband and the 3-year-old girl had come shopping at a grocery store in the neighborhood. As they made their way to the cash register, the woman said she was feeling worse and worse, and the man blew her up, in her arms, in a nearby park and called 112. Doctors who came by ambulance found -in an extremely serious condition.
Diana Cimpoeșu, chief physician of UPU-SMURD Iași: “Oxygen saturation was 20%, breathing was agonizing, immeasurable tension. When the Intensive Care Crew arrived, it was stopped, resuscitation was performed, initially, the cardiac activity returned for a few minutes, it arrived at UPU Sfântul Spiridon Hospital, the rapid antigen test was positive for Covid.“
The patient, unvaccinated, also did the PCR test, which showed the same result. Doctors from the “Sfântul Spiridon” Hospital in Iași could not save her.
Diana Cimpoeșu, chief physician of UPU-SMURD Iași: “The husband told us that for 10 days he has been treated at home with antipyretic, anti-inflammatory medication for the flu. The family doctor didn’t call the lady either, she considered it a simple flu.“
The family lives in Horlești, and the neighbors are shocked by the end of the woman and the fate of the little girl, who was orphaned by her mother.
Neighbor: “She was a healthy woman, a young, hardworking woman, she wasn’t a sick woman or anything, no. I’m not afraid of Covid, I’m not afraid because I went through him. My father and I and an aunt of mine and a sister of mine. It’s a slightly more severe flu.“
