For the HBCE handball teams, the weekend was disrupted by several postponements of matches linked to the health crisis. Among these reports those of the men’s and women’s pennant team in Albi or even that of the U15 girls in Pont-de-Salars. For the rest of the matches, we still recorded three victories in the U13 girls, U15 and U18 boys.
At home, the seniors 2 bowed against Pechbonnieu by 21 to 27 just like the under-17 girls against Toulouse 2 (23-37). The less than 13 girls, they won in front of their audience against Saint-Affrique by 23 to 19 after a close match.
Victory at home also for the under-18 boys who won by 32 to 20 against Castres after a very serious match.
Finally, outside, the U15-year-old boys traveled to Rodez for the Occitanie first division championship. A long-awaited match with a flavor of Rouergat derby which was played at the Amphitheater, proof that this match was eagerly awaited by everyone. The Ruthenians and the Espalionnais surrendered goals for goals in an undecided match during the first 2 halves. The first half turned to the advantage of blood and gold (10 to 5) but the young Ruthenians were able to react in the second half to win 8 to 7. Finally, during the hotly contested third quarter, the Repeated assaults by the Espalionnais got the better of the ROC’s defense, which gave in completely, giving the young HBCE the final victory by 29 to 16.
