Limited Stock, When Will Indonesia Get PS5?

Jakarta: Early today, Sony officially announced the release date and the most important thing is the price of the PlayStation 5 or PS5, their latest generation console. The good news is, the PS5 price is not up to the double digits or Rp. 11 million as has been rumored.

It is known that the PS5 comes in two versions, namely the regular version and the PS5 Digital Edition. The difference is that the PS5 Digital Editon does not have a CD slot or optical drive because all games are downloaded digitally before they are played.

The regular version of the PS5 or the one with a CD slot is priced at USD 500 or around Rp.7.4 million while the PS5 Digital Edition is priced at USD400 or around Rp.5.9 million. Regarding the release date, Sony will release the PS5 to various countries in waves.

The reason for this is not known, but it is rumored that the sempai production problem is the cause, namely in the chipset component. This forces Sony, which targets 15 million PS5 units produced by March 2021 to reduce to 11 million units.

Sony announced two PS5 release dates, the first being November 12 for several countries, namely the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. When will Indonesia get the PS5?

If according to plan, Indonesia will begin to receive PS5 supplies to be sold on November 19 along with other countries. So it is predicted that PS5 availability will probably be a little scarce and the price in the market will be higher than the announced retail price.

At the beginning of its announcement, Sony claimed that the PS5 had better performance than the Xbox Series X even though they both used custom chipsets or AMD-made CPUs and GPUs.
