KlikBabel.com – Have you ever felt a burning sensation in the middle kwatery or urinate? It has a medical name called dysuria.

As a result of this disorder, you experience stinging pain when urinating. This brings a lot of inconvenience. However, in severe cases, it can affect your kidneys and reproductive health as well.

Therefore, it is very important to deal with this problem before it develops into a serious problem. Because it could be that the condition is caused by a more dangerous disease. Check out the explanation.

1. May have a UTI

Bacterial, fungal or viral, a UTI can be of any nature, but it almost always causes a burning sensation when you urinate.

“Painful urine can also be caused by inflammation of the urinary tract. The urethra, bladder, ureters, and kidneys make up your urinary tract. The ureters are the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder. Inflammation in one of these organs can cause pain when urinating ”, says Dr. Siddharth Kumar, M.Ch (Urology and Kidney Transplant), District Superspeciality Hospital, Lucknow.

He adds, “Women are more likely to develop urinary tract infections than men. This is because the urethra in women is shorter than in men. A shorter urethra means bacteria have a shorter distance to travel to reach the bladder. “

2. Hold urine too long

Not peeing for too long can increase the toxicity of pee and when you do finally empty your bladder there is a chance that you will end up feeling hot there.

Holding back urine means accumulating toxic acids in your bladder. This acid stays in contact with the lining of your bladder causing a rash and pain. When you urinate, it tends to rub against the wall of the injured bladder and make your vagina and urethra sore.

3. Your pH balance may be in limbo

If you douche and use regular vaginal washing, it is likely that your pH level is disturbed which will eventually cause that burning sensation.

“You have to be very selective when choosing soap and bath soap. Sometimes, painful urination can also be caused by the products you use for the genital area. Soaps, lotions, and bubble baths can irritate vaginal tissue. The dyes in detergents and other products can also cause irritation, causing painful urination, ”explains Dr Kumar.

4. You are dehydrated

Urine is our body’s natural mechanism for flushing out toxins from your body. When you drink water, these toxins get absorbed in it and eventually leave your body.

The more water you drink, the less concentration of your urine. However, if you drink less than 7 to 8 glasses, which is the limit, your pee becomes more acidic. Hence, it hurts when released.

5. Check if you have an STI

You need to keep checking your partner’s sexual health to avoid sexual infections as that can also be responsible for a burning sensation when you urinate.

“You may also experience pain when urinating if you have a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Some STIs that can cause painful urination include genital herpes, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. “It’s important to be screened for these infections, especially because they don’t always have symptoms,” said Dr Kumar.
